ICICI Bank and Times Internet launch Super-Premium Credit Card

ICICI Bank and Times Internet on Wednesday launched a super-premium credit card targeted at ultra high-net-worth individuals. The card, the inaugural edition of which has been crafted from a metal alloy derived from the historic printing plates of The Times of India, is powered by Visa.

Cardholders will receive exclusive benefits, including doorstep visa services, exclusive invite-only events by The Times of India Group, access to elite clubs, unlimited lounge access at more than 1,300 global airports, attractive reward points, and helicopter rides, among others.

The ‘Times Black ICICI Bank Credit Card’ provides curated privileges designed to cater to the refined tastes of these individuals with significant spending power. Annual fee for the card is ₹20,000, but the fees will be waived on yearly expenditures of ₹25 lakh through these cards.

Customers will earn reward points of 2.5% on international spends, and 2% on domestic spends, making every transaction a step toward premium experiences.Rakesh Jha, executive director, ICICI Bank, said the card aligns with the bank’s customer-centric approach and commitment to introduce compelling propositions that resonate with the customers’ refined tastes and preferences.”We believe this new credit card is going to play an important role in the overall personal banking experience offered by ICICI Bank to its customers,” Jha said.

The card provides concierge support through OneVasco, and a waiver on visa processing fees through Atlys. The luxury stay gift card is redeemable for a hotel stay at a destination of choice via EaseMyTrip, while Quorum Club Access will offer discounts on select restaurants.

Sandeep Ghosh, Visa’s group country manager for India and South Asia, said the company’s partnership with Times Internet and ICICI Bank to co-create the card combines the global payments major’s expertise with both partners’ insightful understanding of consumer behaviour – especially, the ambitious affluent.

“Together, we have designed a unique card, offering elevated payment experiences and distinctive value propositions for ‘India’s influential’ who value time and premiumisation,” Ghosh said.

The card provides a complimentary Zomato Gold Membership and milestone rewards that would include luxury transfers.
